Devolution

the idea that we evolved and religion will mean the end of progress. I don't like doing religious related art because I'm usually on the end being beaten for saying my opinion. Religion is a tricky subject for me. I like the idea that there's a God and an afterlife and that Jesus was who he said he was and did what the Bible says he did and that there's a framework for what's right and wrong...but it seems implausible to me. And even if it were the case I don't think it'd be wise to just nod and go along with what people are saying about it. People can't be trusted. And when you don't have the people who wrote all that stuff in front of you to drill to find out if they're lying or pushing their own agenda, how can you trust what they say? So much corruption in religion but then again, corruption is everywhere. I really want there to be a God. I really want the evil people I have had in my life and the evil people that exist in the world throughout time to have a penalty after life. Because I don't see too many bad people paying the price they deserve in life. I'd like there to be good things waiting for me for being a good person. I'd like things not to just end. I like the idea of an afterlife. I haven't seen proof of these things. Maybe I'm not educated enough to have come across proof or maybe there isn't any. But I've seen religion used to support child abuse and money making and it turns me off big time. Now, this image seems to imply that everyone who's human is going to turn to religion, then follow blindly as sheep until ultimately they follow the fellow lemmings off the cliff to our deaths. I'm not saying EVERYone is doing that. A lot of people are and I saw this as a way to depict it but it does give the impression that I'm saying the human race is this. So just wanted to clarify that. So come all ye faithful, and try to turn me to your beliefs but you will not change my beliefs and I'm not going to hide in the shadows and not state an opinion that is highly regarded as morally wrong.
